Every year, the camp changes a little, but the important stuff usually stays pretty consistent. The following is a discription of how the camp was this year (1988). This year, the camp was held at Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. The camp consisted of around 350 campers and 50 staff members for a grand total of around 400 people. The campers were sectioned into 14 groups depending on their age. Group 14 consisted of the smallest kids, while group 1 consisted of all the assistant counselors. Each group was assigned an adult advisor, two assistant counselors, and two counselors. The counselors stayed with their group and directed the campers. The camp as a whole had a head counselor. The head counselor's job was to help with the connection between the campers and the adults. He also organized activities and often held conferences with all the assistant counselors and counselors. The variety of activities in the camp were made into classes and each group had their own schedule. Below is a list of activities this year.

Aside from the weekly activities, there was an opening and closing ceremony. There were also two dances and a talent show. I am sure everyone had a good time. hehehe
